Within the textbook are timeless writings from serious Christian authors, whose lives are discussed from a Christian perspective. They teach about the walk of faith, justice, holiness, ethics, and morality. While reading the selections, your student will laugh, cry, sigh, and travel to distant places and times as the insights and adventures of different lives and characters unfold.
The textbook explains, discusses, and studies the different types of literature styles. This covers the types of poems and the different parts of a poem. Allegories and parables are also examined in detail, as well as historical short stories, fiction stories, fiction novels, and the autobiographical novel.
The workbook is divided into daily student work corresponding to the text of each literary selection. These carefully prepared assignments are designed to enhance your student's writing, grammar, and reading comprehension skills. These may also include important Bible studies pertaining to the daily text.
The writing assignments involve essays, book reports, and poems with detailed instructions and grammar exercises. (We recommend purchasing our BOOK REPORTS and ESSAYS writing courses to use with this course if your student does not have writing skills in these areas.)
