Dearest Daughters (In Christ),

My name is Kimberley, from Kimberley's Korner in the The Happy Home School Magazine. I am a grey-haired mother for whom home school was the happiest, happiest, happiest adventure of my life! My home school was always happy, gentle, deeply loving, caring, and full of kindness. I learned many things during those years about children, educating them, following God, prayer, and running a busy, clean, organized, and happy home.

Though I had a very successful career (bio) prior to marriage, I gave it all up to be a stay-at-home wife and mother because it was the more important life focus and the more fruitful eternal undertaking. I have the highest regard, respect, and love for marriage and an overwhelming love for children. Being this type of deeply caring woman, I know the longing of a mother's heart for her children, her marriage, and for her needs as a woman. For this reason, I started this magazine to share with you what I know about how to have a happy home school, heavenly marriage, raise wonderful children, and create a fun family experience.

In this year's magazine, I wrote more than 90 articles from my heart with wisdom just for you. To help make each day of your family life occur as smoothly and happily as possible, my articles contain ideas and suggestions for the home school day and family weekend. You will also find printable pages with projects, charts, and artwork for you and your students to enjoy, fill in, or complete. I also share about organization, efficiency, and relationships to make life peaceful and pleasant. More info...

From a loving mother's heart,
God's greatest blessing on your home school adventure.

Here are some helpful ideas from my articles!

RECIPES

Most moms have more than one cookbook, magazine, or internet site where they have found favorite family recipes. As these favorites accumulate, it becomes harder to remember where they are located. Even with the internet, writing favorite recipes on recipe cards is still the best way to keep track of them.

Favorite recipe cards can then be stored in a box or the sleeves of a photo album. Keeping the recipe box or photo album in a kitchen cabinet near where food preparation occurs will make them easily accessible.

Recipe cards are easy to use as you gather ingredients, mix, and cook. One of my special aprons with pockets is a great way to carry recipes cards around the kitchen or when barbequing.

Don't miss my recipe card activity in this year's April magazine. Your whole family will have fun helping you to organize their favorite recipes!

CAR TRIPS

When driving around town on weekly errands, a good plan will help you to complete these tasks efficiently while saving on gas, wear and tear on your car, and wear and tear on you!

Plan as many errands in one trip as possible. Make sure you gather all items, receipts, and lists that you will need on those errands. For instance, don’t forget the clothes if you are going to the dry cleaner.

Organize your errands route in a circular manner. Once you have tried your route out a few times, made adjustments to it, and are happy with it – you will have a regular route that will reduce driving stress and gas bills considerably.

A shopping list is also a great time saver for grocery shopping. If it includes the names of the errand stops you will be making listed in the order in which you want to accomplish them, you will not forget them.
